Yoga Is For EverybodyNovember 10th 2015
Trying something new for the first time can always feel a little bit daunting. As the nerves kick in before your first yoga class you don't know what to expect, don't know if you're going to enjoy the experience and even after reading the FAQs over a hundred times you can't help but feel nervous about possibly falling flat on your face. However, all these feelings are completely normal and trust us when we say you've got absolutely nothing to worry about...
SEE YOGA AS A MAGICAL TOOL
Let's start with the good news boys and girls...you don't have to be flexible to be a Yogi. Yoga is a magical source of flexibility and strength for your body and can enhance your life. If you can't touch your toes or you struggle with tight hamstrings, congratulations you're a human being and Yoga is here to simply help you loosen off.
RESPECT YOUR BODY'S LIMITS
There are some poses you may never be able to do, but there are plenty you'll be able to do and even more that you'll be able to do with more practice. Yoga is a great excuse to take some time out for yourself, so enjoy the moment and enjoy giving your body some well deserved TLC.
DON'T BE WORRIED ABOUT MAKING A FOOL OUT OF YOURSELF
Yoga isn't about bending our bodies into pretzel-shaped poses, it's focused on being non-judgemental which means it's perfect for those who are completely new to it. We all have our wobbly days and the more classes you attend, the more you'll relax and find movements more natural and flowing.
