Hot Barre


Barre is a series of low-intensity fat-burning intervals. The exercises have been selected and put together to work your entire body, increasing both strength and flexibility creating long, lean muscles. This is a barefoot class. Barre classes are practiced in our hot studio at 30c

Benefits of Barre

It may look like ballet, but it's not. Barre fitness classes are simply ballet-inspired, incorporating a ballet barre and maybe some plies and pirouettes here and there into the workout. Essentially, barre classes mix elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and functional training, and the moves are choreographed to motivating music. In each energising and targeted workout, you’ll use the barre and exercise equipment such as mini-balls and small hand weights to sculpt, slim and stretch your entire body. About your teacher : Alexandra Stone

It was running marathons that first led Alex to the yoga mat 14 years ago. It was a slow burning romance that eventually caught fire and resulted in a teacher training 8 years after she first stepped out on to the mat.

Alex's innate curiosity for movement led her to discover the wonders of Mat and Reformer Pilates 4 years ago which she then also trained to teach in. Alex taught full time in some of London's most popular studios for 5 and a half years. Whilst there her insatiable enthusiasm for movement drew her to ballet and barre classes where she discovered a new passion and began regularly attending classes with some of the best teachers in the business. After 3 years of attending classes she trained in barre.

Alex's dedication to movement communicates in classes. She teaches individuals not sequences and each class is lovingly crafted to a fabulous playlist that will inspire you to get to class with a spring in your step!
